Glass Office Governess

Before I became a mom I didn't think twice about participating in new business at work. In fact it gave me great exposure to senior leaders in the company and was a great learning opportunity. For most of my later career fear had me shy away from new business. Fear it would upset the delicate dance I did between work and home. Fear I wouldn't have the confidence to speak up about my need to get home and take care of my family.

I've since gained the insight that if you don't ask for what you need you rob yourself of opportunities.
